Repente Saddle

Via my good friends in Italy who run Epoca Bikes and Parentini Bike Wear, I was introduced to a new company making premium saddles.

Repente was formed by some guys who broke away from a larger saddle business to enable them to develop their ideas and design. The results are sensational!

USP

Not only are the saddles supremely comfortable but they are ridiculously light and strong thanks to the unidirectional 1k carbon fibre.

The unique feature of the Repente saddle is the locking system, which allows you to change the saddle whilst using the same base.

Weight Saving

I’m using the Alena 4.0 which is a featherweight 130 grams. Anyone looking to save some weight whilst adding comfort need not look any further!

The Alena 4.0 black & red combo works perfectly on the Epoca R60.

Nice Touch

They’ve even added scuff guards on each wing of the saddle so that when you lean your bike up against a wall, it won’t damage the saddle. Small things but why hasn’t someone else done it? Genius!

Bar Tape

The kind folk at Repente threw in some bar tape with my saddle. No BS, this is the best bar tape I’ve ever had.
