Following from last years event, our 2nd annual charity golf day was a huge success!

Topping the attendance record there was a whopping 72 players, it was great to see so many new faces who had come from all over the South, some even came from as far as Wales!

We had enough players for a shotgun start which commenced at 08:30, after some yummy pastries and coffee, which were well received by the early starters.

After an incredibly windy start to the morning we were lucky enough to get some sunshine towards the afternoon and not a spot of rain all day.

The course, once again, was in immaculate condition and played a very special host to our day.

We had set out a few competitions again; Nearest the pin in two (4th), nearest the pin (8th) and longest drive(18th). There was also a sweepstake for the yardage that the longest drive would be. The winning guest was a HUGE 330 yard drive.

Lunch

A tasty lasagne lunch was followed by the prize giving and a few words about our charities.

Founder of O2e, Paul Slattery, explained what O2e is about and gave examples of the tremendous work and challenges they encounter.

Jane Emmerson from Get Kids Going! also spoke, giving an insight into how monies raised through O2e goes to helping the children that her charity supports.

After the speeches there was a raffle held, prizes included 2x Tickets to the O2e Annual Charity Gala, a signed Arsenal shirt and some Official O2e Merchandise.

There was also a wooden spoon prize for the lowest score achieved, which was proudly won by Rob from FiscalReps, who was very please with his case of 40 Nicky Elite 3 ply scented toilet rolls!

Thanks

Once again we would like to say a huge thank you to resident professional, George Porter and founder of GP Golf, who helped with the smooth running of the day.

Another big ‘thanks’ goes to Elan Goldsmith from our other Affiliated Charity, CMPP. She was a massive help with organisation and assigned official photographer for the day.

We managed to raise an incredible £1807.50 which will really will make a lot of difference! Thank you all who came for all your generosity of raffle tickets and various donations throughout the day.

Next Year

We will of course be running this same event next year, we would love to see you all again so please email sophie@sourcesupplies.co.uk to put your name down for a place.
